Have you ever seen workers on the side of the road with a metal sprayer, dousing the landscaping with some unknown liquid? Or a truck with a tank of liquid driving slowly along the sidewalk spraying a jet stream of liquid all over the roadside or sidewalk? Or how about a farmer in a field on a tractor spraying the crops? Ever wonder what they are spraying?

It's not water. And it's not harmless. They are most likely spraying a glyphosate-based herbicide, such as Roundup or Rodeo.  You may even have a bottle of these herbicides in your garage to spray in your own backyard. Glyphosate-based herbicides are the most popular, and insidiously harmful, herbicides and desiccants (drying agents) in the world.  Over 9.4 million tons of these herbicides are recorded to have been sprayed globally.  80% of GMOs---genetically modified crops---are engineered to withstand glyphosate-based herbicides.

Screen_Shot_2018- 04-13 _at_7. 48.58 _AM.pngCalifornia is the only state that has a Department of Pesticide* Regulation that tracks the use of glyphosate and other pesticides/herbicides. That map was recently shared with me by a supporter for glyphosate-free grape growing. Haga clic aquí for one of the most disturbing maps you will ever see, especially if you live in California. The California wine regions are recorded to have between 79,000-189,000 pounds of glyphosate sprayed in their communities every year.

*The term pesticide is accepted by the industry to include pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and rodenticides.

To the EPA: Revoke the License of Glyphosate

Right now, the EPA is accepting comments from the public on the issue of whether or not to re-register glyphosate for another 15 years. This is one of the most hotly contested issues of our generation, and we need EVERYONE to comment.

Screen_Shot_2018- 02-27 _at_7. 07.21 _PM.pngPlease click on this link, click Comment Now on the upper right, and write a short (or long) comment to the EPA.

Registration Review: Draft Human Health and/or Ecological Risk Assessments for Several Pesticides

We simply ask that you be professional, add links to studies to back up your assertions (see resources below), and share personal reasons why as well.

If you suspect harm to your family or loved ones from glyphosate herbicide Roundup, now is the time to tell them.

You may use parts of our comments below, but please do personalize your comment or else it will be deleted.

Feel free to comment more than once. The last time I checked the majority of the comments were in favor of glyphosate being renewed...no doubt the chemical companies are paying people to leave comments. Regardless, we need to bring clear independent science and honest pleas.

Please know that there are some inside the EPA that want to do the right thing, and have asked us to communicate with them. They need our support to make changes. Please leave a comment today.

How are they connected? If you remember, French scientist Seralini et al released shocking findings in January of 2018 that all the brands of the glyphosate-based Roundup they tested, over a dozen, had high levels of arsenic, over 5x the allowable limit. Roundup used in vineyards and sprayed on grains used in beer as a drying agent is appearing to be one of the major contributing factors of arsenic (and of course, glyphosate) residues in our wine and beer.

Today Moms Across America is releasing new findings of glyphosate in all of the most popular brands of wines in the world, most of which are from the US, and in batch test results in American beer. The findings were at first, confusing. But one thing that was clear was that the beer and wine industries must and in many cases are, moving away from Monsanto’s Roundup in order to avoid contamination by this chemical herbicide, a known neurotoxin, carcinogeny endocrine disruptor, which causes liver disease. Despite Monsanto’s impassioned appeal of “irreparable harm”, CA federal Judge Shubb allowed glyphosate to remain on the CA Prop 65 carcinogen list in a ruling out just two weeks ago.

febrero 27, 2018-- Today a CA Federal Judge ruled that the public does not need a warning label to inform us that cancer-causing and harmful chemicals in glyphosate herbicides are in our food or products, temporarily relieving manufacturers from the responsibility of being honest with their customers.  At a time when more and more American families are struggling with diseases and their high cost, one man decided that it was an injustice to the chemical companies to have to tell us about the presence of their chemicals.

Senior United States District Judge William B. Shubb released his ruling regarding the case of Wheat Growers and Monsanto against the California Environmental Protection Agency (CA EPA), Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) and the CA Attorney General to remove glyphosate, the declared active chemical ingredient in Roundup, the most widely used herbicide in the world, from the CA Prop 65 carcinogen list, a law approved by California voters by ballot initiative in 1986.

New test results show the presence of Glyphosate, a proven neurotoxin and the declared active chemical in Monsanto’s Roundup, to be contaminating more and more American foods, many considered fit for a “healthy” lunch. Instead, we are finding that these foods are likely contributing to poor mental and physical health.

Batch testing of popular almond milk (1), vegetarian burgers (2), and various breads (3), including organic, gluten free and whole wheat breads, revealed up to 140.98 ppb. Individual brand testing of Skippy’s “100% Natural” peanut butter y Lipton’s “100% Natural” Mint and Green tea up to 208.29 ppb of glyphosate herbicides.

New Discoveries
Presione soltar

spraying_vineyard.jpg

2018

Moms Take on Monsanto

Monsanto.jpgenero 31, 2018 Zen Honeycutt and Anne Temple of Moms Across America attended the Monsanto Shareholder meeting held at their corporate headquarters in St. Louis.

Zen represented John Harrington of Harrington Investments and presented a three minute presentation for the forming of  a Human Rights Committee.  Unfortunately the vote was taken before Zen spoke on behalf of the proxy.  A document was presented to the board and Executive Team listing just some of the examples of 11 categories of crimes against humanity attributed to Monsanto's products.  You can read that document AQUÍ.

Below is Zen's presentation for the forming of a Human Rights Committee.

Amicus Brief Filed in Support of OEHHA and Prop 65 listing of Glyphosate

prop-65-img.jpgenero 26, 2018- Moms Across America and National Health Federation, with  Tips & Associates, filed an Amicus Brief, which is a friendly filing in support for California State Office of Environmental Health Hazards Assessment agency (OEHHA) & their Prop 65 State Toxics List AND the addition of glyphosate to the List, after Monsanto and 11 State Attorneys General  moved to get rid of Prop 65 and the Listing ENTIRELY.

What is an amicus brief?

Amicus briefs are legal documents filed in appellate court cases by non-litigants with a strong interest in the subject matter. The briefs advise the court of relevant, additional information or arguments that the court might wish to consider.

Why would an amicus brief be filed?

Monsanto has repeatedly sued the CA EPA's OEHHA, to remove glyphosate from the Prop 65 carcinogen list. This time they "won the support of 11 states to sue OEHHA." This was coincidentally after Moms Across America initiated a "50 States Ask Governors to Ban Glyphosate" campaign.

Screen_Shot_2017-11-05_at_10.04.16_AM.pngThe 11 states who join Monsanto in this audacious lawsuit against OEHHA, our state's health hazard assessment agency,  are supporting the federal lawsuit, Monsanto, the National Association of Wheat Growers and other agricultural groups which was filed in noviembre 2017, to stop California from becoming the first US State to require product containing glyphosate carry warning labels.

OEHHA legally and rightfully placed glyphosate on the list after the International Agency Research for Cancer (IARC) classified glyphosate a probable carcinogen in May of 2015. Glyphosate is the declared active chemical ingredient in Roundup and over 700 other glyphosate-based herbicides, the most widely used type of herbicide in the world.

Why would Monsanto want glyphosate off the Prop 65 list?
