Did anyone notice that not one single major public health official took the step to tell us what we most needed to hear that robust good health is our best defense against infectious disease? El centro de distribución Zen Noh Agriculture compra cientos de millones de libras, más cuatro mil millones de dólares valor de granos transgénicos y no transgénicos anualmente, de agricultores estadounidenses y los envía a China, Japón, Taiwán, Corea del Sur y el sudeste asiático.

En otras palabras, el gobierno japonés posee una participación descomunal en el sistema agrícola del medio oeste estadounidense. Esta es la razón por la cual los presidentes y corporaciones estadounidenses ejercen una enorme presión sobre el gobierno japonés para que acepte nuestros granos transgénicos rociados con glifosato. El gobierno japonés, en respuesta a las demandas de EE. UU. y Monsanto, desreguló drásticamente el glifosato. Thirty million genetically modified school meals are served daily in America to our children.

The testing of 43 school lunch samples shows:

• 93% of the school lunch items contained carcinogenic, endocrine disrupting, and liver disease-causing glyphosate.
• 74% of the samples contained at least one of 29 harmful pesticides.
• 4 Veterinary drugs and hormones were found in 9 school lunches samples at levels up to 130.76 ng/g.
• 100% of the school lunch samples contained heavy metals at levels up to 6,293 X higher than the EPA’s maximum levels allowed in drinking water.
• The majority of the samples were abysmally low in nutrients.

Many of these toxins have been found to contribute to or cause neurodevelopment disturbances, immune system damage, hormone disruption, cancer, liver disease, tumors, and more.

Without proper nutrients, our children’s brains will not function properly, and their bodies will not be developed as needed. Often children with learning and behavioral issues are deficient in just one or two minerals or vitamins; when those nutrients are added to their diet, their mental, physical, and behavioral issues subside. Even violent behavior is discontinued. Our children must have proper nutrient-dense food.

For millions of underserved children, school meals are the only meals they consume. School lunches contain many GM crop ingredients such as corn, soy, and sugar from sugar beets and are processed with GM oils such as canola and soybean oil. Most genetically modified crops are engineered to withstand toxic chemicals such as glyphosate, glufosinate, dicamba, and many more harmful chemicals. 

The wheat, peas, beans, oats, and other grain ingredients found in school lunches, such as in hot dog and burger buns, bread crumb coating, pasta, pizza crusts, etc., are primarily derived from conventional crops that are often sprayed with glyphosate as a drying agent before harvest—this practice results in high levels of glyphosate residues in the foods. Thousands of food samples have been tested for glyphosate; we are unaware of such testing on school lunches.

Moms Across America has been working on getting glyphosate (and toxins in our food and environment) banned for ten years. At some point, many would expect us to give up. We can assure you we will not. 

Extremely frustrating news was announced yesterday that shows us our work continues to be crucial to public awareness and health. The EPA is refusing to do its job to protect Americans from glyphosate. It's up to all of us to do so.

Although the EPA has announced that they have scrapped the interim approval for glyphosate, a huge win, they are now directing their attention to other issues about glyphosate and "anticipate" a decision by 2026. FOUR years from now.

This decision, or rather stalling tactic, is beyond incompetence. It is intentional corruption.

The EPA has been reviewing the science regarding glyphosate for thirteen years. They already have solid science (hundreds of studies, maybe thousands) showing that glyphosate causes and contributes to:

• Cancer - brain, breast, prostate, lung, blood, and non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
• Liver disease
• Kidney disease
• Reproductive effects

• Nervous system damage
• Gut bacteria destruction
• Oxidative stress
• Sperm damage
• Androgenization of baby girl genitals and more...

For the EPA to continue to allow this harmful herbicide to be used in any way in our country is criminal.

In a rare case of common sense prevailing, a U.S. Court has ruled in favor of Natural Grocers and plaintiffs in a lawsuit against Tom Vilsack and the USDA, deeming QR codes as UNLAWFUL and insufficient to label GMOs in foods.

A U.S. District Court has held that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s decision to allow genetically engineered (GMO) foods to only be labeled with a “QR” code was unlawful and that USDA must instead add additional disclosure options to those foods under USDA’s National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard. The Court sent back to the agency the QR code portions of the 2018 Trump administration rules for GMO labeling that went into effect on enero 1, 2022, which hindered consumer access with burdensome electronic or digital disclosures.

“This is a victory for all Americans,” said Meredith Stevenson, Center for Food Safety (CFS) staff attorney and counsel in the case. “Today’s decision marks a key step toward ending the food industry’s deceptive and discriminatory GMO food labeling practices, which have kept consumers in the dark by concealing what’s in their products.”

CFS filed the case against USDA in 2020 on behalf of a coalition of nonprofits and retailers, including Natural Grocers, operating 157 stores in 20 states, and Puget Consumers Co-op, the nation’s largest community-owned food market. The lawsuit followed the USDA’s rulemaking in diciembre 2018, which would have discriminated against tens of millions of Americans by permitting the use of QR codes alone on the packaging after the USDA itself found QR code labeling insufficient.

The lawsuit followed an over twenty-year campaign led by CFS to get GMO labeling in the U.S., as it is in over 60 countries around the world, including state legislation and culminating in the first-ever federal GMO labeling law.

Moms Across America has been addressing wireless tradition in classrooms, and it is a challenging task. Our director, Zen Honeycutt, has spent considerable time researching, gathering experts, writing letters, and meeting with her son’s school district and has made significant progress. The entire school district in North Carolina is lowering the emissions of wireless tradition from the wireless access points by 50-75%. In addition, the school district is addressing her son's reaction to the high-powered wireless access point he was sitting beneath when he got depressed. Her son, who was diagnosed with Electromagnetic Hyper Sensitivity (EHS), is, we believe, the first child to receive a public school 504 Plan for Electromagnetic Hyper-Sensitivity in the USA. But the plan is not sufficient, and a formal hearing is pending. If the hearing is not sufficient, the next step would potentially be a lawsuit, as the following family pursued in the UK.

We are thrilled to see progress in the UK, and commend the dedication of the parents and child to preserve in this process for the sake of not just the student but for the sake of all students with EHS.
