As more and more people are beginning to heal themselves with Restore, important questions are coming up from you about the product. We went back to Dr. Zach Bush, who is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolism, and Hospice and Palliative Care. Dr Bush uses restore clinically and has noted significant changes in patients with symptoms of chronic inflammation such as Leaky Gut Syndrome, Gluten Intolerance, Autism, Type 2 Diabetes, Autoimmune conditions such as Crohn’s Disease, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. This is what he had to say:
1. What are the usage recommendations for babies and kids?
For infants: A few drops on the nipple before breastfeeding. Dr. Bush references Moms Across America’s study that found glyphosate in breast milk and the importance of protecting a baby’s fragile and developing gut. If you are formula feeding, a few drops from a dropper, on the bottle nipple, or on the baby’s lips before bottle feeding.
For weaned infants - 2 years of age: between a few drops and a teaspoon 3 times a day. Start with drops then gradually increase to recommended usage.
For kids 2 years of age - adult: 1 teaspoon 3 times a day, preferably before meals.
Most kids shouldn’t find the taste too face-scrunching but if they do, it’s okay to add a bit of something they like to help “the medicine go down”. If you do this, don’t do it more than a few minutes before consuming. Dr. Bush points out that the worse it tastes to a person, the more acidic the gut is, and the more they are in need of it’s benefits. He says over time, as the gut’s tight junctions are supported, the taste becomes less intense to the point that you may not notice any taste. It is also important to note that kids with Autism are the most sensitive to mineral supplements and may have a more difficult time with the taste.
In people with severe inflammation in the gut, larger amounts may be taken. In all of the testing of this product, they have yet to see any level of toxicity because this product does not bio-accumulate or build up in the body. It has a relatively short half-life, which means its effects don’t last for long periods of time. Dr. Bush suggests experimenting by applying Restore to a small cut to help understand the half-life of the product. You will notice an immediate relief for between 30 minutes to two hours. Think of drinking it in the same way; you get more “bang for your buck” by taking smaller amounts every 4 - 6 hours rather than one large dose.
“It’s always easier to prevent an injury than treat one.” Dr. Bush. If you take this product before you eat, it defends the tight junctions from the insult of toxic chemicals, such as glyphosate, before they can cause harm.
2. Is Restore safe to take with chemotherapy or radiation treatment?
Yes. Restore is not metabolized, or broken down, through the same pathways as drugs are, therefore, there are no interactions with medications. Pharmaceuticals are metabolized through the kidneys and liver. That is why many people suffer kidney and/or liver damage while taking many different drugs, from NSAID’s (Ibuprofen, tylenol, etc.) to chemotherapy. 'Shown in laboratory studies, Restore actually increases the lifespan of renal tubular cells (kidney cells), helping to support the organ and its ability to filter toxins and “take out the trash”.
3. Can Restore be beneficial to people who have neurodegenerative diseases?
Yes. When the gut integrity, vascular structures and the blood brain barrier strengthen and improve, so do the communication pathways of the body. When the body is operating well, inflammation is minimal. Inflammation is linked to neurodegenerative diseases such as Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, etc. In his clinic, Dr. Bush has seen some patient’s deterioration with neurodegenerative diseases stabilize within 3 months.
4. How long does the product last and does it have to be refrigerated?
Because the product comes from carbon molecules deep within the earth, it is very stable and lasts a very long time. Carbon is a mineral and minerals do not break down like enzymes or proteins do. They maintain their integrity for a very long time. Dr. Bush has tested an open bottle of Restore, two years after opening, and the potency remains the same as it was at the time of bottling. He suspects that sealed bottles of this product could maintain their potency for decades.
As minerals beneath the earth are not refrigerated, neither does Restore have to be, whether an open or unopened bottle.
5. Does Restore protect against other toxic chemicals and potential gut integrity disruptors?
Yes! Restore helps to defend the gut from things that are toxic to the tight junctions such as OTC (over the counter) medications, Miralax, NSAID’s (Ibuprofen, Tylenol/ acetaminophen, etc.), pharmaceuticals, antibiotics, hydrogenated oils, MSG (which has about 20 other names it hides behind including “Natural Flavors”, and gluten. Yes, gluten. Gluten in today’s wheat is 10% - 20% as toxic to the gut as glyphosate according to Dr. Bush. Restore is shown to promote tight junction integrity, which allows the biome of the gut to function properly, which promotes integrity in the communication pathways intrinsically placed in the body.
6. How long before my body will restore the healthy biome, or gut bacteria, and communication pathways, therefore lessening my gut related or inflammatory symptoms?
This time frame is different for everyone. As for most things, the more serious the condition or symptoms, the longer it will take. According to Dr. Bush, antibody levels in patients with significant inflammatory and autoimmune diseases generally showed a drop anywhere from 6 to 18 months depending on the individual. However, 12-24 months may be necessary to “achieve independence” from Restore. Some of the patients at my Virginia clinic have stopped taking it after nine months to a year, and this worked for about 20%, but approximately 80% went immediately back on it, because they experienced a recurrence of symptoms, especially brain fog.”
