On 19 abril, the Philippine Supreme Court issued a cease-and-desist order on the commercial propagation of genetically modified (GM) Golden Rice and GM eggplant in the country, Countercurrents recently reported.

In our most recent meeting with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), we were told they have to stay in their lanes and they need to hear from congress to make improvements in the toxic food supply.

Fight back against the take over of “food-like products” that are toxic and low in nutrients. Contact your senators and representatives and demand the banning of GMOs, the regulation of heavy metals in baby formula and baby food (they specifically said the agencies have not gotten permission from congress to regulate these products), and the banning of the toxic, cancer-causing herbicide, glyphosate (the primary ingredient in Round Up products). Thank you for fighting by our side! With your help, hopefully we can someday announce a similar headline in the US, as this good news out of the Philippines.
